Ideas change everything
Every spring, TEDxUGA brings together leading thinkers and doers from the University of Georgia and the Athens community to share their passions, stories, research, and ideas.
These ideas spark curiosity and invite a global audience to come together for an evening dedicated to connection, conversation, and shared experience.
Since 2013, 145 presenters have taken the TEDxUGA stage, and their talks have been collectively viewed more than 7.5 million times worldwide.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUGA, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxUGA event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. Learn more about TEDx.
